Swedish born Katarina Lees is a textile designer and maker specialising in hand-woven rugs. She comes from a long line of weavers and is passionate about using traditional techniques to produce innovative designs for contemporary living.
Katarina works from a converted barn in the Peak District and her warm, colourful designs reflect both her heritage and the open, ever-changing landscape that surrounds her studio.
With a BA in Textile Design from The University of Borås and several diplomas in fine art and hand weaving, she creates inspirational work that enhances everyday life by being both decorative and functional.
Anything from large rugs to small table mats can be woven on her looms and the choices of design, material and colour are endless.
